Dear sir/ma’am, 

I’m the parent of XXXX, a student at your school. I’m writing to you today to share something that has been on my mind. 

I am sure you’d agree that real education goes beyond just textbooks. And as parents and teachers, our primary goal is to help build the character of children so they become good, responsible and productive citizens of Earth. While the school works in many ways to help do that, there’s one aspect I feel where something more can be done. 

In our hyperconnected urban lives, we are losing touch with nature. And this gap is widening in case of the next generation. Why will the adults of tomorrow feel responsible towards the environment, if they don’t feel any connection with it today? 

Recently, I got to know about SowGood, a social impact organisation that has been working closely with schools and children in this area since 2017. Their Nature-Connect Programme integrates farm-based learning in school, works in line with Sustainable Development Goals, and in sync with seasons and the academic syllabus, and has touched the lives of over 70000 children till now.
